The Project: A 2022 Call for Art is the Koger Center’s annual artistic competition that supports the work of South Carolina visual artists and is now accepting submissions. Each year, one chosen artist will receive a $500 stipend, gallery space and staff support resulting in a free public display in the Upstairs Gallery of the Koger Center. Submissions for this year’s project will be accepted through August 15. PalmettoPride, South Carolina’s anti-litter organization, has created a new leadership program for South Carolina teens with its Youth Ambassadors. This new initiative seeks applications from South Carolina students ages 14–18 who are active in litter prevention in their communities. The benefits of being a PalmettoPride Youth Ambassador will include statewide recognition, college application and resume building, community service hours, and a $1,000 scholarship.
