Double-C World Class Pet Resort in Klamath Falls is collecting donations at its location on Washburn Way to help pets that have been displaced by the McKinney wildfire near the California/Oregon border.

The company posted a comprehensive list of requested items to its Facebook page Sunday. The items are for both cats and dogs and include dry kitten/cat food, clumping cat litter, puppy pads, clean litter pans and Clorox wipes.

In a second post made Monday, Double-C asked for dog kibble, 1-gallon steel pails for drinking water, kiddie pools, poop scoopers and 5-gallon pails for waste collection. These donations can be made at either Double-C or to Cherish K9 House. Both organizations are located in Klamath Falls.

“We’ve actually gotten a lot of donations the last couple of days,” Tylor Engvall of Double-C said.

Engvall said Double-C Manager Kendra Walker published the Facebook posts along with a series of flyers soliciting donations from the community. Envall said Walker was out delivering donations for the displaced pets Wednesday, and would be making another delivery Saturday.

“We’re just really trying to pull together and help the pets out that are in need and being evacuated down there,” Engvall said.
