After a cat mating boom this season, Cannonsville Critters, a Stanton-based non-profit organization devoted to rescuing animals for adoption, has around 200 kittens in care and plenty more to come.

Due to these waves of warm months, kitten season is in full effect. But for many, this still begs the question as to why there is an overwhelming number of cats in shelters right now.
