A bookstore in Mankato, Minnesota apparently has a resident cat who can accompany you when you shop. The bookstore that cat calls home is called Once Read Second Hand Bookstore and Exchange.

I don’t remember where I first heard about or saw a cat living in this bookstore, but I did some Google searches and found a post about this bookstore written by Mankato Life and they mentioned the cat .

According to Mankato Life, the name of the cat in this bookstore is Fred the Shop Cat (or, I think, Fred for short). It sounds like he is just hanging out, if he decides to scratch, he will walk to you. In addition, when you visit a "read" website, a picture of a cat will be displayed at the bottom of the page, so this may be Fred! Or maybe a cat that was there before Fred.

Interesting facts about the bookstore. According to their website, the building where Once Read is located was built in 1870. The building has gone through many tenants, but the owner Mark, who once read, opened a second-hand bookstore in 1975. Therefore, not only has this building existed for a long time, but the bookstore has become a staple food in the town.

If you are considering providing all different types of books through one reading. Of course, this depends to some extent on what people sell to the bookstore. They bought books you no longer wanted, and then turned around and sold them. So who knows, the book you have been looking for appeared in one of my readings!
