Vicksburg local Jai Reeves has been fostering two kittens that are in need of a loving home.

The kittens are around five months old. They came into the world when an outside cat gave birth under the Reeves’ residence. Reeves has been caring for the sweet kittens lovingly, but she has expressed that finding them homes has been a struggle.

Reeves mentioned that more kittens have been born that she plans to help find homes for but she isn’t sure yet how many there are. She is hopeful to find good homes for the two she has so that she can make room to foster and assist the next litter.

Reeves has made an appointment to get the mother cat fixed. She is doing everything in her power to help the kittens and the mom but now she needs assistance from individuals who can provide permanent housing.

The two kittens’ names are Hoot and Garfield. Hoot is a friendly female tortoiseshell and Garfield is a curious male orange tabby.

Reeves said, “Hoot is a sweet baby that doesn’t like to be left alone, she’ll grab my leg with soft paws when I leave. She loves back rubs!” She continued about Garfield, “Garfield lives up to his name!” Reeves said Garfield loves food. He stands in his bowl while eating and loves a good head scratch. He might even be down for some homemade lasagna!

To contact Reeves regarding the adoption of these two feline fur babies, you can call her at 601-631-2997 or message her on her personal Facebook page at Jai Reeves.
