Cleveland, Ohio --- What if the world suddenly discovers that it has no cats at all?

Although it is easy to think that our feline friends will only hang out and stare out of the window, please rest assured that cats do lose weight in this world.

Cats—including pets and stray cats—may make us mistakenly believe that they are dependent on humans, but according to the Center for Human-Animal Relations at Purdue University, cats are an important part of protecting human food sources because of “their excellent predation Instinctive and adaptable hunting skills."

In many parts of the world, cats are raised to control pests. Hunting and scavenging are the instincts of most cats. In fact, in general, cats did not enter the house until the invention of kitten litter in the 1940s. Many cat experts say that they are still the most comfortable in outdoor activities.

For centuries, cats have been killing mice and rats on ships, barns, and food storage areas, and are critical to controlling these pests.

Baker said that in India, cats are believed to play an important role in reducing the amount of grain loss caused by rodent consumption or pollution. In other words, if there were no cats, humans would get less food in the first place.

To celebrate National Cat Day in October-October 29th-we ask our readers to send us pictures of their cute kittens. We were overwhelmed by the response-so many that we had to submit deadlines in advance.

This week, we will publish photos of every cat that humans send us photos before the new deadline. On Tuesday, we introduced Abracadabra to Elise. On Wednesday, it was through Kobe's fluff. Yesterday, we recommended Lando to Oz. Today, we are going to see the claws of Zeus.

The task of the Cleveland.com staff committee is the arduous task of selecting the top 20 contestants. These 20 kittens will continue to compete for the final championship. Please be sure to contact us on Monday, October 25th, when we will announce the finalists.

Then, it depends on you. Our readers will choose the ultimate winner. You can vote for the cat you think is the cutest cat in the online poll from October 26th to 28th.

We will announce the final winner on October 29th, which happens to be National Cat Day.
