Dreaming Creek Brewery will be hosting a dog show which will benefit the local humane society.

Dreaming Creek Brewery is going to the dogs on Tuesday.

The brewery will be celebrating the end of a month-long donation drive for the Humane Society Animal League by hosting a dog show at DCB’s taproom.

Those wishing to enter their canine into the competition can pay their entry fee by donating to the humane society.

“All the money that people are paying to participate in Hops & Vine is going to the humane society,” Mandy Durr, the brewery’s dog show event coordinator, said. “In lieu of that, we just thought that we could do more. We’ve reached out to our customers and, hopefully we can donate more, than if we just did a cash donation from the company.”

Durr said the dog show is “totally for fun.”

Dogs can win prizes for categories like “Best Bark” or “Scruffiest Little Pup.”

The wish list for donation items:

Gift cards for Chewy, Walmart, Kroger, Lowe’s, Meijer or similar

The Hops & Vine Festival will return on Saturday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The festival will take place at the Apollo’s Pizza parking lot between Browne Law Office and Currier’s Music World. Entrance is free and open to the public.
