A man revealed that he replaced his wife's cat with a similar-looking cat six years ago and said she never realized it.

The anonymous man believed to be from the United States admitted on Reddit that she abandoned his partner's beloved cat when she was out with her family because she was not "aggressive" and did not catch guests.

However, he admitted that he has been feeling guilty ever since-soon social media users agreed that he had good reason to feel terrible for his "unforgivable" behavior.

"You can't give someone's pet to the shelter without notifying them," one said angrily, while the second agreed: "If I find out about this, I will definitely consider divorce."

In the original post, he wrote: "Six years ago, I replaced my then-girlfriend and current wife's cat with a more well-behaved look.

"She has a very aggressive all-black cat. It caught everyone, hissed at everyone, and didn't use its litter box for half of the time. My wife insisted that she could make it behave better. good.

However, he continued to confirm that she was unsuccessful.

"One week, when she went out of town to visit her family, I should go to her apartment to feed it," he continued. 'The first night I went, it scratched my arm. I joked to the cat that it is not special, and if it scratches again, I will replace it. This joke has bothered me until I think about it enough that it is not a joke.

The man explained that it has been six years since he switched the cat, and admitted that every time he sees it he feels like a "complete bastard"

He went on to explain how he went to the local animal shelter the next morning and picked an identical cat that "has been trained in litterboxes and adapted to humans"-adding that it was "more friendly and behaving" better".

The man continued: “So I adopted it, took it to my wife’s apartment, settled down, and then drove her original cat to an animal shelter in town (I’m very paranoid, if I bring it to The local one, my wife will find out).

'It has been 6 years since then. We got married 4 years ago. We still have exchange cats. It answers the name of the original cat. My wife knows nothing.

"She likes this cat and brags that it performs better. Every time I see it, I feel like a mess.

In the comment section, someone wrote: “If this guy really does something as big as changing his spouse’s pet, I can’t imagine that he must lie or hide something else” (pictured)

However, while some people joked that they would not "rest" before the couple parted ways, others urged him to never reveal this secret to his wife.

"If they know, it will definitely not benefit anyone," one wrote, while another wrote: "Don't tell yourself after dark, otherwise the terrible black cat will haunt your dreams."

The third person added: "I will not rest until the two divorce."

Elsewhere, a fourth person wrote: “If this guy really does something as big as changing his spouse’s pet, I can’t imagine that he must have lied or hidden something else.”
